Overview
3,3′-Diaminobenzidine (DAB) is a classical horseradish peroxidase (HRP) chromogenic substrate. In the presence of HRP, DAB produces an insoluble brown precipitate and is widely used in immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western blotting, in situ hybridization (ISH), and related applications. This chromogenic system provides clear signals, high contrast, and excellent stability. Stained results can be stored for extended periods with minimal fading.
