Sterix Antibacterial Indicator inhibits the growth of bacteria, algae, molds, and biofilms in water baths, thermostatic tanks, and circulating water systems. It helps maintain a contamination-free environment for workflows such as cell culture, PCR, NGS, transcriptomics, and proteomics. By preventing microbial buildup in water circuits, Sterix also reduces the risk of tube clogging and protects the long-term performance of laboratory equipment. The solution imparts a light blue tint to the water, which gradually fades as microbial contamination increases—providing a clear visual cue to replace the water and reapply the agent.
Broad-spectrum antimicrobial action–Inhibits bacteria, algae, molds, yeasts, and biofilms in laboratory water systems.
Visual contamination indicator–Light blue color fades as microbial contamination increases, providing a clear cue for water replacement.
Versatile applications–Suitable for water baths, thermostatic tanks, cooling water systems, condensers, ultrasonic baths, and other lab water circuits.
Prevents tube clogging–Reduces biofilm buildup in circulating water, helping maintain smooth water flow.
Long-lasting protection–Effective for up to 3 months under normal use conditions.
1. Routine use: Add 2 mL of the agent per liter of water (1:500 dilution, approximately 40 drops). Stir thoroughly until the water turns a uniform light blue, indicating that the antibacterial agent is fully dispersed.
2. For cell culture rooms: Add 0.2 mL of the agent per liter of water (1:5000 dilution, approximately 4 drops). Stir thoroughly until the water turns a uniform light blue.
3. Water replacement recommendation: The antibacterial effect lasts for approximately 3 months. To maintain water cleanliness, replace the water every 1-3 months, clean the water bath during each water change, and reapply the antibacterial agent accordingly.
1. Avoid contact with skin or eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
2. Keep the bottle tightly sealed after each use to prevent evaporation and contamination.
3. Flocculent sediment may form at the bottom of the container after long exposure to air; this is normal and does not affect product performance.
4. Do not mix with other cleaning agents or chemicals.
5. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a lab coat and disposable gloves, when handling the product.
6. For Research Use Only. This product is intended for laboratory research purposes only and is not intended for use in diagnostic procedures, therapeutic applications, or in humans or animals.
